PRINCIPAL SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
Marianne, principal Speech Pathologist, has over 20 years of experience working in this field and provides a professional, skilled service to children, adolescents and young adults. Marianne brings a wealth of knowledge and international experience to the practice. She has been in private practice for over 10 years, including work in Boston, USA. She has worked with many families to enhance the learning process at home and with many teachers to develop management plans at school. Marianne has also worked in the Department of Education for 10 years working closely with parents, teachers and Integration Aides. Marianne has clinical expertise in education and support to pre-schoolers and school aged children and in developing individualised programs. Her special interests are working with children on the autism spectrum, language disorders, articulation, fluency disorders and phonics.
Therapy is fun, educational, practical and dynamic! Parental involvement is a key feature of her sessions and she uses evidence-based practice. Marianne is passionate about fostering opportunities for children to succeed in life and to make communicating more functional. Children and their families are approached with respect for their individual needs and the primary focus is on achieving best possible outcomes for each family and to strengthen their child’s development.
